Good afternoon everyone. The Riverside Softball program looks to build on its successful YEAR 2 season with a summer Green Day program that invites all interested Riverside students (rising freshmen through seniors) to open workouts at our beautiful Riverside Softball Complex.

We will be holding the first of these off-season OPEN workouts from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

Also, as we enter the off-season for YEAR 3, LCPS has changed the policy for completing and submitting your Participation Forms. Please follow this simple process to make sure we are in full compliance.

• A hard copy of the VHSL physical form is the ONLY form that must be turned into the Athletic Department

• All other forms MUST be submitted online at https://riversidehs-ar.rschooltoday.com/

• PLEASE make sure that you are getting all pieces submitted appropriately and in advance of our first workout so we are in complete compliance

Tonight's home game against Park View has been moved up to a 5:30 start time in an attempt to beat the weather expected later this evening.

MONDAY:

Practice 4-6:30 on the field. Pick up is 6:30 in front of the school.

TUESDAY:

Pictures 4:15. Impact testing TBD. Parent Meeting at 7.

WEDNESDAY:

Home scrimmage at 5 vs Potomac Falls (This is a change.)

THURSDAY:

Practice 4-6:30 on the field. Pick up is at 6:30 in front of the school.

FRIDAY:

Practice 4-6:30 on the field. Pick up is at 6:30 in front of the school.

SATURDAY:

Practice 8-10 on the field. Pick up is at 10 by the field.

Softball practice for Friday the 24th will be on the field 4-6:30. Same meeting spot to walk to field. Pick up is 6:30 in front of the school.

Saturday the 25th will start inside at the school. We will move to the field if the weather is nice, but rain will keep us inside otherwise. Practice is 8-10. If we move to the field, pick up is at the field at 10. If we stay inside, pick up is in front of the school at 10. Players will be permitted to send a text while we walk up if we move to the field. 

Practice will be 4-6:30 out on the field again today. Players will meet Coach Ingersoll in the same location. Pick up is at 6:30 in front of the school.

Tryouts will take place outside on the field again. Players/ managers should meet Coach Ingersoll in the girls' locker room hallway no later than 4 pm to walk up to the field. Pick up will be in front of the school at 6:30.

Softball tryouts will take place on the field Monday, Feb 20th from 4-6:30. Rides should pick up and drop off at the field. Tryouts start promptly at 4, so please make sure you arrive early enough to have your cleats on and be ready to go. Pick up is at 6:30. We will be leaving the field at 6:30, not packing up then, so please make sure rides are on time! Any questions, please email Coach Ingersoll at ingersollrhssball@gmail.com

In order to allow coaches to best plan practice, players will be required to sign up ahead of time indicating their attendance. Any practices with no players signed up to attend prior to 4 pm the day BEFORE will be canceled. Players who sign up to attend are expected to show up. All practices are softball skill related (conditioning and weight lifting will not be held this year).
