Each discipline ( Sprints, Distances, Throws, Jumps, Hurdles) will be selecting a specific number of athletes to make up their squad which will form the team.

During the tryout period, athletes will tryout in a variety of events and be scored. You are encouraged to try as many as possible but do not have to do any. For example, if you are not interested in running distance and feel you are more suited for throws, you will not need to complete the distances events. Again, it is encouraged and to your benefit that you try as many as possible to increase you options and chances of finding a fit on the team.

We will post the events that we will complete during tryout week closer to the start date. These events will represent a variety of the disciplines.

In addition to your performance on the events during tryout week, the following factors will be considered in the evaluation process:

1) Overall Commitment to the Team/ Attendance - You should plan to attend each day of tryouts.
2) Overall Attitude - a positive attitude and overall effort goes a long way.
3) Overall Dedication
4) Work Ethic
5) Versatility - Are you able to compete in multiple events, contribute in multiple disciplines of the team.

Lastly, you will find guidelines under team files for a variety of events. These are only guidelines to help you with your winter training. These should help you start by getting an idea of where you are currently and where you should be going into the start of the season.  Please note these guidelines are not a gurentee for making the team or not making the team. They are guidelines not a tryout standard.
