We look forward to seeing everyone next season. Best of luck to our graduating seniors, you will be missed. Please be sure to visit often.
Remember to train throughout the summer, fall, and winter so you are ready for next season. The off season is just as important as the season!
Have a wonderful summer!

Dear Riverside Family,
I have loved my time at Riverside. It was an awesome opportunity to open a new school and create a culture of togetherness, team first mentality, and strong work ethic. We have some of the greatest students, teachers, staff, and administration that I have ever been around. But mostly, we have THE GREATEST track and cross country athletes I’ve ever been around. The amount of support provided by the parents is unparalleled, and I have never seen anything like it. I enjoyed every day that I worked here, but it is time to move on in support of my family. I have been offered a position with Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC, which I have accepted.
So to everyone at Riverside High School, thank you from the bottom of my heart for my time with you. I will never forget it!
Sincerely,
Coach Brenner

SPORTS NUTRITION NIGHT at Riverside HS
Feb. 22 at 7 PM in the Auditorium
(FOR PARENTS AND ATHLETES)
This is a FREE event
Training and competition place high demands on the body, but most student athletes don’t connect the dots between what they eat/drink and their performance in sport. Proper nutrition provides athletes with the energy, nutrients and hydration needed to progress in their training, excel in competition and recover strong. Join us for a discussion about nutrition for sports performance, where you’ll learn:
- The Basics: why, when & how to get essential macronutrients your body needs to perform
- Nutrition & Athletic Performance: the fuel-performance equation
- The Power of H20: why hydration matters and how to do it right
- Game Day: short-term strategies for eating before, during and post-competition
- Max It: how to maximize muscle gain and lose fat through the right diet
- The Long View: everyday nutrition during the training season
Lisa Allen & Trish Drennan, certified nutrition and performance training coaches will lead the evening’s discussion. Allen and Drennan are co-owners of BlackBench Fit, a company whose programs include sports performance and athletic development, located in Ashburn, VA.
