Once again, Evolution Basketball will come out in August to run a 2 day clinic.  On Monday and Tuesday, August 15 & 16 from 8-11 am they will provide a clinic at RVHS.  All players must have current athletic forms with physicals turned in to athletic department to participate.  There is no charge for this event.  Here's the sign-up list:

Riverside Rams Boys’ Basketball Camps – rising 9^th graders can register for this camp

Our players are asked to work or volunteer at least a week of camp.  Age limit to be paid by PRCS is 16.  All others can be volunteers and work for gear.

July 11-15 at 8:30 am to 3:00 pm (work-outs following camp from 3-5 pm for rising grades 9-12)

July 18-22 at 8:30 am to 3:00 pm (work-outs following camp from 3-5 pm for rising grades 9-12)

Summer Work-Outs will start June 15 and will be held twice weekly in addition to Strength and Agility Work-outs. Those dates and times will be released in early May.

HOUSING

Campers will stay in Liberty air-conditioned dorms (2-3 people per room).  Bathroom and shower facilities are located on each floor. Please bring your own linens for a twin size bed and towels.

We strongly suggest campers do not bring items such as TV's, stereos, or video game consoles.  We will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property or money not deposited in the Camp Bank.

INSURANCE

Flames Basketball Camp does not provide medical insurance.  Each camper must have their own medical coverage.

REGISTRATION

Upon receipt of the completed registration form (link below), we will send a registration packet to the head coach.  The packet will include individual camper registration forms, team rooming lists, and team check-in instruction.  Each individual camper must have the insurance information and parent/legal guardian signature form completed prior to arriving to camp.  Players will not be allowed to participate in the team camp until we have this information.

As we finish the big dig out, I felt it necessary to inform you that the Freedom, Loudoun Valley, and Woodgrove games have been canceled and also update everyone on next week's schedule.

Here is the latest information we have to date.

We are waiting for word on Friday if we will be cleared to practice at RVHS on Saturday. Saturday practice is possible but unconfirmed at this moment.

All Boys' Basketball Games on 12/2 have been to 1/4 as Clarke County has advanced to the football regionals.  Practices will be held on 12/2 as follows:  

Volunteers Needed for Home Basketball Games

1.  Concessions Stand Closer is needed for every home game.  15 minute time commitment at the end of the Varsity game.  Please sign-up on this website.  Click Volunteer Sign-up which is located on the drop down menu of this website.  

2.  JV team needs the following -  1.  Team Mom (food coordinator), 2.  Clock Operator (preferably 2 adults who rotate this job)

3.  Varsity needs one more Clock Operator to rotate game day duty.

4.  2 adults needed to run the half court shot contest at all Varsity home games.  10 minute time commitment each game.

Due to Volleyball Regionals on Wednesday, November 11, the  following adjustment was made to the Try-Out Schedule.

Group 2: 6:30-8:45 pm in the Aux Gym

Group 1: 7:30-9:40 pm in the Main Gym (We will meet in the hall and enter the gym after its cleaned up from the Volleyball game).

I'm excited to announce that this Thursday's (October 1) sessions are being moved to the main gym at Riverside! There will be more sessions at RVHS but we will update weekly.  They days of the week for our sessions will remain the same.  Saturday, October 3 will remain at NLE

All Boys' Basketball: due to the early ending to tonight's game, we need to move stadium clean-up to 10 am Saturday, September 5.  Please meet me at the stadium at 10 am.  Many helpers will make this go quickly.  Thanks so much.  The Athletic Department appreciates our help.

For 9th & 10th Graders: There are limited spots available if any player is interested in playing in a fall league. This is not part of the Riverside Basketball fall program, just an additional opportunity to play. The National Capital Sports Alliance invites your Rising Freshman and JV basketball players to participate in the 2nd Annual Fall HS Prep League. Last year 14 teams participated between JV and Freshman. This league is intended to help the players of Loudoun High Schools have an additional opportunity to get prepared for their upcoming season without it counting towards your allotted days. The league is unique as it allows your JV players and incoming freshman players the opportunity to register individually, but play with their teammates. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Limited spots are available. League Details: - Minimum players per team is 8 and maximum players per team is 12. - 8 Games for each team beginning Sept. 6 and running through November 1st - Games will be played at Loudoun High Schools. Sites and schedule will be released soon. - Registration will be open for individual players only. No team registration. - To gain access to registration, follow the link below. Your JV players must use the unique registration code (RamsJV2015) and you Freshman players must use the unique registration code (RamsFR2015). The code assures they are placed on a roster. - Team names on the schedule will be colors and not identified with the school name. A phone app will be provided to each player for quick reference to the schedule - League t-shirts will be provided to each player with a number on the back.
