2017 Strength & Conditioning Program

**HIGHLY ENCOURAGED FOR ALL ATHLETES, ESPECIALLY IF TRYING OUT FOR VARSITY COMPETITION**

Parents,

It is hard to believe that our season is only 10 weeks away! Although July 31 is our first official day of tryouts, we are highly encouraging prospective team members to get to work now. We have very high expectation for the upcoming fall season and need everyone to come to tryouts strong, conditioned and ready to work. We have a state title to defend!

While school is still in session, off season dates are Thursdays at 4pm – held at Riverside, and Saturdays at 11am – held at Legacy. Once school is out, off season will be held Wednesdays at 11am – Riverside Aux Gym, starting on June 14th. These are not mandatory but are highly encouraged for any player hoping to compete for a spot on our 2017 team.

In addition to our Green Days, we highly encourage the girls to start working a pre-season program (either formal via a third party or on their own). I have arranged for the girls to formally train at the school with BlackBench Fit. They have created a program specifically geared toward cheerleading and my personal goals for our teams.

The program will run for 6-weeks, 2-days per week. Given vacations and other obligations, BlackBench will run the program for 7-weeks to ensure that everyone can get a full 6-weeks in. Attached please find more information about the program as well information on how to register.

This is an awesome opportunity for everyone trying out in the Fall! While the strength and conditioning program it is not mandatory, it is HIGHLY encouraged, especially for those trying out for Varsity Competition.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions about our pre-season program. If you would like additional specific information about BlackBench, please feel free to reach out directly to Trish Drennan at tdrennan@blackbenchfit.com.
