The Riverside Lady Rams had the unique opportunity to compete in one of five VHSL State Sanctioned tournaments this past weekend. The Lady Rams entered Danielle Webb (10); Julianna Burkett-Erice (10); Monica Guzman-Reyes (11); and Kyla Houston (11) into the 4th Annual Blue Devil All-Girls Invitational.
Danielle Webb and Julianna Burkett-Erice both placed second in their respective divisions. Webb and Burkett-Erice both pinned all of their opponents (Webb 3 and Burkett-Erice 3) on their way to the finals. Both wrestlers came up short in the finals to much more experienced wrestlers.
Up next for the Lady Rams, will be the Mills Godwin girls invitational on December 27th. The Lady Rams will also be rejoining the men's team for their next competition against Potomac Falls and Independence High Schools.
