The Riverside Rams hosted Rock Ridge tonight in their first ever Dig Pink Night. Rock Ridge stole the show in three straight sets with scores of 23-25, 19-25, and 19-25. Set one was a tough battle with the lead exchanging hands several times before the Phoenix closed it out. Set two was dominated by Rock Ridge with Riverside continually trying to catch up. Set three saw the Phoenix jump out to an early lead, and they never looked back. While Riverside posted 22 kills, two double blocks, and two aces, it wasn't enough to overcome Rock Ridge. Even though the match did not go as the Rams would have hoped, the Dig Pink Event was a fantastic success with praise all around. Riverside looks forward to continually hosting a successful Dig Pink Night for many years to come. As the number two seed entering the Conference 28 Tournament, Riverside will host William Monroe on Monday in the quarterfinals.
