The Lady Rams came up big in a 3-1 win over visiting Brentsville District High School Tigers. Riverside dropped the first set 21-25, but they rallied back for three straight to end the match. Set two saw the scores flip with Riverside winning 25-21. The Rams continued to distance themselves from the Tigers with a 25-15 set three and a 25-13 set four. With a strong frontline performance, Riverside put up 43 kills in the match. Three double blocks and three solo blocks don't quite tell the full story of the effectiveness of the Rams defense along the net. Solid serve receive and digs put the setters (and emergency hands) in great position to throw up 41 assists to set up the 43 kills. Twelve aces on the night help bolster the Rams to their victory. Riverside is on the road tomorrow night at John Champe.
