Assistant Coach
Boys Varsity Basketball
Coach Jensen is entering his third season as Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Riverside High School for the 2018-2019 season. Coach Jensen contributed heavily to the development of the Rams front court over the previous two seasons, including the development of Riverside's first First Team All Conference player, Jason Odom. With the existing returners and new faces entering the program, Coach Jensen is looking to continue to develop the Rams' front court into one of the best in the conference.
Prior to coming to Riverside, Coach Jensen has served as a color commentator for the Gameday Broadcast Network, and was an on air co-host for 101.3 ESPN in Burlington, Vermont.
Jensen also had a successful playing career, spanning from high school to the college ranks. In high school, Jensen spent three years as a member of a varsity team, one of which under current Riverside head coach Mike Koscinski at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Virginia, and also played for Temple Baptist School in Herndon, Virginia.
At Briar Woods, Jensen was a member of the inaugural Varsity Boys Basketball team, being named MVP for the season, while also setting and currently still holding the most blocks in a game and season record, with 10 in one game and 72 over the course of the 2005-2006 season.
At Temple Baptist, Jensen was named MVP of the Varsity team for his senior season in 2006-2007, and was heavily recruited throughout that timeframe. He set the record for most 30 and 40-point performances in one season, and is second in program history for most points scored in one game, with 44.
At the college level, Jensen contributed heavily as a freshman and sophomore at Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida. He was named to the All-Freshman team, and helped lead his team to their historic upset of the #1 team in the nation on their run to the conference championship in 2008
He then transferred to Liberty University as a junior, and was a member of the Flames Men's Basketball program in 2009.
