Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
After several meetings with Cascade/Maverick, we have been offered some fantastic, and very exclusive, deals on custom equipment for the 2022 season!
With the help of our retailer at Angelo's, they have designed top of the line custom Gloves and Arm Protection (in 3 different styles) with our colors and logo.
They have offered great pricing on the new NOCSAE Approved Shoulder Pads (in 4 different styles). As well as multiple different Heads, Shafts, and Mesh Kits.
To be clear, this is not required by any means to purchase these items. It is an option for you at a great price point. Also, by purchasing any of these items, it does not guarantee a place on the team for the 2022 season.
Everything is set up on a well-designed team store for you to shop. Please read the covid delay notice. The store is open from 10/1-10/12. By closing it on 10/12 we were told to expect all custom pad items to arrive by Mid-January!

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask!

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
I hope you all have had a great summer and are excited to come back into the school building a began a fantastic school year. We are excited to get started with our fall lacrosse program as well! We have a few things that you should be aware of and begin to take care of.
- Paperwork – Be sure to get all paperwork taken care of so that you can start coming to workouts and green days in October. No one will be allowed to participate without all paperwork complete. Everything you need to turn in can be found on www.riversiderams.net under “required forms for participation”.
- VEL Lacrosse Fall League - Now it is time to register for the VEL Lacrosse Fall League. This league is very well organized and extremely competitive. Playing against top level competition will help our entire program grow. Games are on Saturdays for 1 hour.
- To sign up please follow the link below. http://virginia-elite-lacrosse.com/ (Please choose the appropriate Varsity or JV button)
- *Note: We would like all Returning Varsity Players and/or 11th and 12th graders to sign up for the Riverside Varsity Team. We would like remaining 9th and 10th graders to sign up for the Riverside JV Team. Be aware that after September 17th there will be a $20 Late Fee to sign up.
- We feel that splitting the teams this way will optimize each players’ experience and allow them to grow their skills with quality repetitions. Please also note, that playing in this VEL league in no way indicates which team you will be on during the spring season, nor does it solidify a spot in the program. This league is a way for you to improve your game as a player and do so by having fun with your Riverside Ram teammates. Tryouts for the Spring teams will begin on February 21st, 2022. We make all decisions for spring teams at that time.
- Ashburn Bandits Fall Clinics – We are fortunate enough to be teaming up with the Ashburn Bandits youth lacrosse program again this fall. Our players will help give back to the game by volunteering to work with young lacrosse players to teach and grow the game. This is a great opportunity to not only give back to the community, but also earn volunteer hours if you need them. The dates for the clinics are as followed:
-
- 8/31, 9/2, 9/7, 9/9, 9/14 and 9/16.
- Times are 5:30-6:30pm @ Hampshire Park
We would like ALL returning Varsity players to help with this clinic. Please email Coach Ash and let him know if you are committed to helping. Will.Ash01@gmail.com .
- Lacrosse Interest Meeting – We will hold a Lacrosse Interest Meeting on Wednesday 9/8 @ 4:15pm in Room 1130A. Please spread the word to all players interested in playing lacrosse this year! Freshmen and Sophomores bring a friend that hasn’t played but is interested in playing! Go out and recruit your friends to join the program, we want everyone!
That’s all for now. Thank you for all of your support and excitement about this year. As always if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
It is now time to start the State Championship Ring order process. We have made it much easier this year, with being able to utilize the Riverside Payment Portal.
This information only for the 33 players that dressed for the State Championship Game.
The first thing we need you all to do is to fill out the "Ring Cost Letter", and send Coach Worek an email with it attached. The Cost Letter is found in the “Team Files” tab on our website. We understand that you filled out the google form already, we just want to use this letter to double check and make sure everyone’s sizes are correct and names are spelled as you want to see them displayed on the ring. The cost letter needs to be sent back to Coach Worek by 8/16/21. Coach Worek Email: Nicholas.Worek@lcps.org .
Next, payment for rings need to be completed on the Portal by 8/16/21. We want to be sure all rings arrive at the same time, and hopefully by Homecoming. Thank you for your understanding!
Payment Portal Link: https://osp.osmsinc.com/LoudounVA/BVModules/ProductTemplates/Bvc2013/Product.aspx?productid=DB105-1011
Lastly, if you have any issues with ring payment, PLEASE contact Coach Worek.

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
The next item we have for you all regards Ring Sizes. This is only for those players that dressed for the State Championship Game.
We want to get ahead of the curve some, so that when we are ready to place the ring order we can do so quickly and easily. We need to collect ring sizes for everyone. We have created a Google form to do so. Please fill out each question on the Google form.
If you previously won a State Championship Ring, and would like to keep the same size as 2019, please indicate that in the form. If you have not, we need your size. You can go to any jeweler to get sized. Just walk in and asked to be sized. Usually State Championship Rings are worn on the Right Ring Finger. We also have ring sizers that we can use to help with the process if you can not make it to a jeweler.
I will be in the lacrosse office on Wednesday 7/28 from 9-10am if you would like to come in to be sized using our sizers and samples. (note: We have been given instructions on how to size and we will do our best, but we are not experts.)
Google Form Link: https://forms.gle/gDbFnDSoUGTHZhqG6 (Please complete the Form as soon as possible, and no later than Wednesday 7/28)
Soon, you will be getting the order form, art work, and information on purchasing the rings. The process is still being worked on. We just want to get ahead and get all the sizing done.
As always, if you need anything, or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
Tickets will be sold a little differently for the semi-final and finals this week. Please see all information below regarding ticket sales from the VHSL. Riverside Athletics have also tweeted the information as well.
GoFan On-line ticketing for all spring VHSL state semifinals and finals
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The VHSL’s official digital ticketing partner, GoFan, is the only source for parents, students, and fans to purchase tickets for the upcoming VHSL spring championship semifinals and finals. Fans can buy tickets by going to the VHSL website (www.vhsl.org) and each sports home page (https://gofan.co/app/school/VHSL) when tickets become available.
BUYING TICKETS
How do fans buy tickets?
Fans can go to https://gofan.co/app/school/VHSL on their phone, click on the event, and purchase the ticket. Here’s a one-minute video to see how it’s done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkZqTY5d6Bg
How many tickets can be purchased?
Fans can buy as many tickets per transaction.
How do spectators view their purchased tickets?
They can click “View Tickets” in their emailed receipt, sign in to their Go Fan account, or open in the GoFan app. For the fastest entry into the game, fans should pull up their tickets before reaching the gate. Here is another one-minute video that fans can watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0Xhso4QobA
Can fans transfer tickets to others?
Yes, purchased tickets are transferable to children, spouses, family, or anyone else via text, email, or copy a link. See the end of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0Xhso4QobA
Can tickets be purchased after the start of the game?
Yes, but only online as long as the game isn’t a sellout.
What if a game is canceled?
Ticket buyers will receive a 100% refund on the price of the ticket and the convenience fee. To receive a refund, please email service@gofan.co and include your name, email used to purchase the ticket(s), and the event for which you bought a ticket(s).
REDEEMING TICKETS
How do we redeem tickets at the gate?
The ticket holder will show the ticket taker a digital ticket on his/her phone. Ticket gate folks will have the fan click the green “Validate” button and then see a big green checkmark to know the ticket is valid. There is an excellent one-minute video about the process -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G22NNB8uuXE
Can parents buy tickets at the gate?
If there is a public sale AND if tickets are still available, it is effortless. Fans can go to https://gofan.co/app/school/VHSL on their phone, click on the event, and purchase the ticket.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
There is an app for iOS, but can Android users buy tickets?
The app is only available for Apple devices, but the website works great on ANY smartphone.
What if a spectator doesn’t have a smartphone. Or it’s lost, or has run out of battery?
The GoFan digital ticket system is a great solution, but it won’t cover 100% of all possible user cases. As a safeguard for device failure, print your ticket redemption receipt before coming to an event and present it to the ticket taker at the gate.
See you out there!

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
Its “States Week”! What an awesome journey it has been this year, and this week is always the most special of the season. We are excited to enter this week, and eager for the challenges that it brings. A few notes for the week.
- Be sure that players are hydrating throughout the day and eating 3 meals a day. Help them set an alarm to wake up no later then 9:30am, and be sure to eat a good breakfast, a balanced lunch, and then dinner with protein and carbs.
- Be sure that players are going to be bed this week at a decent hour. 10pm or earlier is ideal. Sleep and rest are key to success.
- Be sure not to spend hours laying around a pool in the hot sun. 30min dip to move muscles in the water is ok, but then let’s get indoors and hydrate.
- Be sure to avoid anything that will poison or hamper our bodies. Make good decisions, especially for these 7 days. (Parents please continue to help guide/supervise players this week to make proper choices).
- At the games, we need you all to be loud and cheer! We need chants. We need the energy that you all bring! Shakers, cow bells. Especially when we are on defense!
- Wear White!
This week’s schedule:
Monday: 1-4pm Stadium
- Everyone reports at 1pm. Offensive players report to practice turf. Defensive players report to rm. 1130.
- We will then transition to the stadium for practice 2-4pm.
Tuesday: State Semi Final Game vs. Patrick Henry Roanoke @ HOME. Game time is 7pm.
- Players report @ 5pm. White Helmets. White Undershirts. Blue Socks.
- Fans arrive early to catch our awesome girls’ team in action before our game!
(* If we win Tuesday night)
* Wednesday: 4-7pm Stadium (Recover/Skills work/Film)
* Thursday: 1-4pm Stadium (Offensive Prep)
- Film 3-4pm
* Friday: 9am-12pm Stadium (Defensive Prep)
- Film 11am-12pm
* Saturday: State Final Game vs. TBD, time TBD. @ HOME.
As always, lets continue to be flexible as times/locations may change throughout the week. We will let you know ASAP of any changes.

If we can win the regional championship on Friday, that guarantees us home field advantage throughout the state tournament.
It is now cow bell and shaker time. We need every fan we can get to be loud and CHEERING for our boys. Its going to be hot and they need your support. We need chants of “Roll ‘Side”, “Let’s go Riverside”, “Here we go Rams, Here we go”, “Defense!” You know the drill. When you see that it is a big possession, help the boys fight on the field by cheering in the stands. They truly do feed off your energy, good and bad!

Greetings Riverside Lacrosse,
Here are a few items that we wanted to make you aware of.
- Boys Lacrosse Interest Meeting. 4/5 @ 6:30pm on Google Meet (code- RiversideLacrosse). All planning on trying out need to attend.
- Tryouts begin April 12th from 4-6pm. They will be on the Turf Practice Field. The next two tryouts will be 4/13 and 4/14 from 4:15-6:15pm (Turf Practice Field). Every player will receive a 3-Day tryout. Teams will be set after tryouts on Wednesday 4/14 please plan on staying longer that evening to have conversations with the coaches.
- Friday 4/9 @ 4:30pm we will be passing out helmets and equipment. We will also be double checking paperwork. This will be done on the turf practice field. - Be sure to turn in all “Required Forms for Participation” before Friday 4/9. They are found on Riversiderams.net. We are still missing many players.
That is all for now. Please spread the word to new players and families. Also, be sure to monitor the website, as we will be posting reminders and information from now until the start of the season.

Greeting Riverside Lacrosse,
I hope this message finds everyone doing well. We are getting close to the start of the season. About 2 months out. We would like to start doing some team strength and conditioning so that we can be in the best shape as possible to start the season and defend our state title on April 12th.
With that said, this year Coach Heins will be working with our team to develop our strength and conditioning. She is fantastic and we are excited to have her working with our team. We have decided to have VIRTUAL team workouts on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 4:15-5:00pm. These workouts will begin on March 2nd. We will use google meet as our platform, just like you do everyday for school. Our google meet link code will be “RiversideLacrosse”. All you will need for the first workout is an open space, and some water.
If you are not participating in a fall sport, and plan on playing lacrosse, you are expected to attend these workouts.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Please ask if you have any questions.
