Another fantastic spring season for Riverside Crew! Our Men's Junior Varsity 8 boat secured silver at the VASRA Day 2 State Championship on May 11th, and impressed with a top-ten finish at Nationals in Camden, NJ over Memorial Day weekend. They also clinched a 3rd place ranking overall among US high schools and a 1st place ranking among public high schools on the East Coast. Congratulations on these remarkable achievements!"

We're thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement by our girls' crew team! The girls' 3rd Varsity 4+ boat clinched 1st place at the VASRA Day 1 State Championships on May 4, 2024, with an impressive time of 06:29.4. They showed incredible determination, triumphing over strong competitors from Washington-Liberty, Battlefield, Woodbridge, Episcopal, and Lake Braddock high schools. Congratulations to our team on this outstanding victory!

For anyone who does not make the team roster, we will purchase the uniform as long as it is not personalized.

Tryouts will be held on the following dates and locations. Please note you must attend ALL 3 DATES and sign up is required. Link to sign up will be posted shortly. 

• Feb. 20th- Rowing/ergging 2000 meter timed tests from 4:45PM-7PM at TruStrength, 42910 Winkle Dr. Unit #105, Ashburn, VA. 20147. You must sign up in advance. 
• Feb. 21st - Riverside FACTS field at the track 6:30PM. Each athlete will be timed for 3 mile run. No sign up required.
• Feb. 22nd - Rowing/ergging timed tests and push ups from 4:45PM-7PM at TruStrength, 42910 Winkle Dr. Unit #105, Ashburn, VA. 20147. You must sign up in advance.

Interested in trying out for Riverside HS crew this spring? There will be an interest meeting for students NEW to the program who are considering crew as their spring sport on Tuesday 1/17 at 8:45 am in room 1804. Open to all grades. 

Tryouts will be held on the following days (note that Monday and Wednesday require sign up to participate):

• Monday February 20th - tryouts will be held at TruStrength (42910 Winkle Dr. Unit #105, Ashburn, VA. 20147). This will be timed 2k meter rowing.  
  Sign up is required
• Tuesday February 21st - FACT field, at the track. Timed 3 mile run. No sign up is required just show up at 6:30PM.
• Wednesday February 22nd -  tryouts will be held at TruStrength (42910 Winkle Dr. Unit #105 Ashburn, VA. 20147).
  Sign up is required
