Monday 2/23: 2K Test at Maverick Rowing Center
- 4:45pm-6:00pm- All Girls
- 6:00pm-7:00- Novice Boys
- 7:00pm-8:00pm- Varsity Boys
Tuesday 2/24: 500m Test at Maverick Rowing Center
- 4:45pm-6:00pm- All Girls
- 6:00pm-7:15pm- All Boys
Wednesday 2/25: 6k Test at Maverick Rowing Center
- 4:45pm-6:00pm- All Girls
- 6:00pm-7:00- Novice Boys
- 7:00pm-8:00pm- Varsity Boys
Thursday 2/26: Make-Up day & Regular Practice at Maverick Rowing Center/ Swim Test for Novice Athletes
- 4:45pm-6:00pm – Swim Test for Novices @ Potomac Club Indoor Pool
- 4:45pm-6:00pm- All Girls
- 6:15pm-7:30pm- All Boys
Team will be announced before school on February 27th.
2026 Spring Registration Information

Registration is a multi-step process (please see steps 1-4 below). Please read through all of the information on this page. There are specific requirements that must be satisfied for Loudoun County Public Schools, and the crew team.
Dues for 2026 season are $1650 per athlete. No refunds will be issued after the first day of practice on March 3, 2026. Refer to our refund policy in the Team Manual in the Team Files.
Dues cover the cost of:
- (1) team uni with long sleeve compression shirt
- (1) team t-shirt
- use of equipment
- coaching salaries
- use of indoor training facility (Maverick Rowing Center) during the spring season
- regatta entry fees
- hospitality tents at races
- bus transportation for regattas held at Sandy Run Park (Occoquan)
- end of season banquet, no cost for athletes to attend
FIRST STEP: Complete all LCPS requirements
Required forms must be submitted to LCPS for all athletes. Detailed instructions are available online.
- Register the student with LCPS online for Crew and completed the required training.
- Submit necessary LCPS physical as listed on the Required Forms for Participation.
- Print and email the completed Parent Consent Form to secretary@riversidecrew.org.
- Any athlete who wishes to tryout for the team must have all Loudoun County Public School requirements completed and turned in prior to tryouts.
- NO ATHLETIC FEE is payable to the school for Crew participants.
- If you are NOT on the high school’s list you CANNOT attend tryouts.
SECOND STEP: Register with the Team
Interested athletes should register on the team management portal.

- TeamLinkt will the primary communications platform once the season starts. Download the app from the Andriod Market place or App Store and sign in.
- One account per family. Parents must setup the family account first then you can add your student athlete name(s) and send them an invite to sign in under your account in TeamLinkt.
- At registration, you can pay the entire amount or set up a payment plan. At a minimum, a deposit of $250 is due at the time of registration.
- Final payment must be made by March 3rd.
- Tryouts will be held after school at the Maverick Rowing Center 43465 Riverpoint Dr Lansdowne, VA 20176, between 4:45 and 8:00PM each of the three days. Athletes MUST attend all 3 days of tryouts.
- The team roster will be announced during school.
- Refund Policy: Riverside Crew will refund the registration amount with the exception of a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after the first day of practice. Full refund policy is in the Team Handbook.
THIRD STEP: Pass a basic swimming proficiency test
Basic swimming proficiency is required for all athletes. If you are new to the team and have never had a swim test for crew, you must sign up to take a test.
- -These will be held at the Potomac Club indoor pool.
- -Swim tests will occur on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
- -Crew Board Members will check you on the indoor pool deck starting at 4:45 PM.
- -You can wear a swimsuit or bike shorts and a body-hugging t-shirt.
- -Bring a towel and a change of clothes for after.
- -Test involves treading water for 2 mins and swimming the length of the pool – up and back (untimed).
FOURTH STEP: Attend the Spring Sports Parents Meeting
RVHS will conduct a Spring Sports Parents Meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, in the Main Gym. Athletes are welcome to attend.
- -Riverside Crew will have a mandatory meeting immediately following for all parents to go over the schedule and other administrative details for the season.
- -We will ask all parents needing to arrange a transportation, i.e. carpool, for their athlete to stay after this mandatory meeting.
- -Team spirit t-shirts and car decals will be on sale at this meeting. Car decals $5 and T-shirts $20.
